It’s easy to add colourful bullet points to your iWeb text and use them as artwork across your websites. Here’s how to make the most of these hidden gems

You may think of bullet points as more the stuff of Microsoft Word and other dull applications you may use. But they are, however, a handy part of iWeb too, and a lot more fun than you would imagine. Hidden away within the Inspector’s Text pane beneath the List tab, you’ll
find a great collection of Image Bullets that work brilliantly when doing the job they’re designed for, but they can also be used creatively (as we’ll show you below). They range from hand-drawn styles to physical objects, and we’ve also gathered all of them together over the page so you can pick and choose those that would work well in your next online endeavour. Being images, Image Bullets can be adjusted as you wish and resized for specific purposes, such as the fun push-pin trick we’ll explain in the two steps on this page. Of course, you may just be after an easy way to highlight individual points in your text, in which case you’d be well advised to give these pointers a go and really drive your point (or points) home.

1: Pick a picture
Add or select an existing picture on your site and, while holding down the Apple key, move the cursor to the corner of it and click and drag to adjust its angle on the page for a more ‘tacked on’ feel.

2: Drop in the pin
Add a new text box by clicking the Text button and invoke the Inspector menu by pressing Opt+Cmd+i. Move to the Text tab and then List. Now pick the push-pin bullet and position it over your photo.

3: Keep it together
When moving your image and bullet around, it’s easier to have them both selected. Without a grouping option in iWeb you’ll need to click on the bullet then hold Shift and click the image to select both at once. Take your pick of Image Bullets.

Bullet Choices
From the Inspector you have access to a wide range of Image Bullets that will be suitable for all types of websites, from business through to personal blogs and photo galleries.
