by Freddie Harrison

Having your snaps instantly sync is great, but what if you want to separate them into events? Follow our iPhoto tutorial and we’ll show you exactly how to do it.

iPhoto Tutorial - Photo Stream Events - SidebariPhoto Tutorial - Photo Stream Events - MainPhoto Stream is a stand-out feature of iCloud, giving users the ability to maintain a wireless cloud backup and also to share photos easily across devices without lifting a finger, or a wire, as the case may be. There are of course some niggles that come with the system; luckily they are really easily remedied if you know how. The scenario we’ve come across quite regularly is that photos in Photo Stream are all synced and displayed perfectly, but they aren’t sorted. They just appear in that one batch. Ordinarily, a sync with a wire would split these out into time periods and the useful events system that we’re used to. If you want to maintain these you’ll need to do a little housekeeping. Here’s how to split your Photo Stream pics into events – it only takes a couple of clicks and will help you maintain that flawlessly organised library. We would advise that you do this as often as possible as it will prevent you having to undertake a mammoth month of sorting in one hit. So, without further ado, here’s how to keep Photo Stream organised.
