OSX Tutorial - Mac App Store - SidebarOSX Tutorial - Mac App Store - MainWhen it launched at the start of last year, the Mac App Store offered Mac users an entirely new way to browse and download apps that had never been seen before. There was widespread shock at Apple’s decision to do this as it was based on the success of the iPhone App Store and not guaranteed to work on the Mac platform. As has been the case for many a year now, Apple was right and the Mac App Store became an instant success.

Now, over a year later, a lot of people take the Store for granted, while others don’t even know it exists and have never even opened it up. If this is you, you’re missing out on a huge amount of incredible content. In this tutorial we’ll start you at the basic level. If you have an Apple ID, which you would use to buy iPhone and iPad apps as well as songs and movies in the iTunes Store, you can use that to log in. If not, we’ll show you where you need to go to set one up.
