Holy MacBooks, it’s time to save Gotham!

lb_screen_117_360The Lego computer game franchise is surprisingly big considering the games simply take old formats and turn every character into a Lego man. The latest instalment is Batman and, in typical fashion, this game is so much fun that you can’t help but spend hours battling baddies as the dynamic duo. The big news about this release is that it has been worked so that every Intel Mac owner can play it. Even those using older MacBooks or Mac Review - Lego Batmanminis with shared graphics memory can load up and fight crime. This is a really important selling point and we would love to see more game makers adopt this attitude. There is no let up in the quality of this game as a result of the increase in the kind of machines that can run it; we still get smooth gameplay and the combination of action and puzzles that the Lego franchise thrives on.
In Lego Batman the dynamic duo have to pit their wits against a whole raft of baddies from the films and TV series, including the Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, Catwoman and more. The game is set in Gotham around the Arkham Asylum where the villains have escaped from. Single players can take control of both Batman and Robin as they each attempt to complete levels. They both have specific skills and acquire certain new suits that allow you to complete each level. Teamwork is a must. In two-player mode you take a character each and set to work bringing down the crime bosses. Later in the game you can access new characters like Batgirl and Nightwing in order to progress further. This, like all the Lego games, is great fun, great value and now, thanks to being playable on all Intel Macs, a perfect way to get some quality gaming on Buy nowyour Mac.
