Take your laptop to a whole new level

If you like the portability of a laptop but can’t quite get on with it as naturally as your desktop Mac, then the Cooling Bar may be a worthy investment. With a name akin to a trendy nightspot and looks that resemble a magic wand, this intriguing piece of kit is actually designed for your portable hardware. Fitting comfortably on most laptops, the aluminium bar simply slips under the bottom to create ‘a more comfortable typing level’, as well as claiming to keep your laptop cooler and quieter. Simply place your laptop onto the steadying grip rings (which also protect against scratches), place any cables in the handy cable management groove at one end of the bar, and type away. Specially designed in a stylish silver, this could easily incorporate itself into your office environment. Its size also means it could fit into a laptop bag and be used on the go too – though obviously not placed on your lap itself! The price may seem steeper than the elevation it produces, but if it makes a big difference to your everyday working life then it’s money well spent.
