Just solid materials an rich sound. I don't see the reason to have external navigation buttons to complicate my life since the ipod/iphone stands just in front of me when its docked in the ids2 so i can use it's familiar interface for any task. The minuscule remote is very simple: play/pause, up/down/mute, forward/back and power. Unfortunately Boston Acoustics stopped the production, but for that reason probably you can find it discounted. I hope in the future BA will ship a newer version with airplay and some battery.
