App Review – Totem

When we first saw this app we thought it would be a Tetris rip-off, but actually it’s quite different. You have to build totems by dropping stones onto one another from a moving, swinging crane. All the while you have to make your totem as straight as possible. If you release your stones at the wrong time they won’t land right and you’ll lose a life. Lose three lives and you’ll have to start over. This is a cool game that requires a bit of skill and a fair amount of patience. It’s quite original, which we really like, and is well worth 59p. The levels can seem a bit repetitive at times but if you persevere it gets more and more interesting.  This is definitely a cool puzzle app that goes beyond the various Tetris clones we’ve seen so far and will have you trying over and over again to build the perfect Totem.
