As we’re sure you’ve noticed, Apple provides its own stocks app. So what makes this title different from the free app? First up, it allows you to create a watchlist of unlimited stocks, mutual funds, indices, commodities and options. By tapping on each you can track its progress on a chart, read any relevant news, and see 21 other details such as the opening and closing figures. Secondly, you can create your own portfolio, with custom names and descriptions. Its third unique feature is that you can sync your watchlist with the free Stock Watch Sync Service, which allows you to access your watchlist from any device connected to the internet. This is a huge improvement over Apple’s default stocks app, one with enough features to keep any trader happy.
