iBomber is yet another game that relies on sheer simplicity to create something that is effective and addictive. You are a World War II bomber, and you see the world from a bird’s-eye view with cross hairs in the middle of the screen. You then use the accelerometer to direct your plane over ships and drop bombs on them. It can be quite tough to start with, as you have to time your bombing to perfection in order to hit the target, but once you get the hang of it you can become ruthlessly efficient and really begin to hammer your enemies. The game’s graphics are great, and the whole theme of the app is very effective. The music can be a little annoying but that’s nit-picking really – it’s rare to get genuinely good music on any app. iBomber is a fun app that you can dip in and out of with ease, and is well worth the money. A cool take on an overused theme.
