Most grown men owned a toy gun when they were a lad.  However they’d now get funny looks if they still packed a plastic pistol. Luckily this slick looking app can safely satisfy trigger-happy urges thanks to an arsenal of animated guns.

Choose your weapon by flicking through an armoury of 13 guns, from an ancient flintlock to a rapid-fire machine gun.  Each interactive weapon handles differently.  When using the Colt you can spin the barrel!  Swipe your finger on the screen to cock the gun. When you stroke that trigger the iPhone vibrates and the gun graphic recoils while emitting is wisp of animated smoke.  Superb sound effects remove the need to make the ‘bang bang’ noises you did as a kid.

There’s also a fun shooting range mode.  You can tilt and pan the iPhone to aim your gun at targets. If you get a direct hit you’ll hear a satisfying scream!  This gun-toting app is definitely a toy for the boys!
