We’ve been sent a promo code for a neat little app/bookmarklet that allows iPhone users to search text on web pages just as they would in Safari.

Available on the App Store for 59p or $0.99, Find In Page needs a few steps in order to set it up (although full instructions are provided) but once it’s working it will be a real help to those who rely on Safari’s search facility on their Mac.

The app is a convenient way to continue to use Apple’s Safari browser on the iPhone while adding functionality to it using this little known technique. ”People do not expect Safari plugins, and do not even think to look for them on iTunes” Vais Salikhov, who developed the app, told us. He also plans to make a lite version of the app available in this month.

With Find In Page installed, users simply need to access their Find In Page bookmark (added during setup) which will then launch a neat floating, translucent pane above your loaded web page and bring up a search field. Once you’ve searched for your text, matches are highlighted on the web page just like in Safari and you can skip between them using back and forward buttons on the navigation pane.

We’ll have a full review in the magazine soon but for now you can check out the app here

Good morning! We have an app ready to send to the iPhone app store, and have a slightly different app on our website. Are you interested in reviewing our product?
      Thanks.
