YouTube have released a new app called Capture, which allows users to quickly record, edit and share video from their iPhone. The app has focused closely on making the whole experience as simple as possible, allowing users to record and upload video clips with as few as three taps.
The app features a standard shooting mode, which is locked in Landscape mode to stop people annoyingly recording videos in portrait, or the ability to use a video from your camera roll. When you’ve captured what you want, there are some basic colour correction and stabilisation tools, as well options for you to trim your movie and add a soundtrack. After a few seconds of work, your video will be ready to upload, which can be done with a tap to YouTube, Google+, Twitter or Facebook.
If the app sounds a little like Instagram for video, you’re not far off. Give it a try now – it’s completely free – and let us know what you think.
