We’re not sure whether to believe our eyes but it looks like we’ve spotted (from the keynote coverage) that the iPad Steve Jobs is using has a housing for, or is fitted with a camera.
We’ve made this picture as big as possible so you can take a look at the magnified portion. Can you see it? Right in the middle of the upper bezel is a camera sized shadow. Ok, so its not incredibly obvious but, when do you ever notice the sensors behind the iPhone bezel? Hardly ever. But they are there, and in some lights and at some angles, it is possible to see them. Thats what we think is happening here.
So, what does it all mean. The belief, here at iCreate, is that the iPad will ship not only with a Camera but with a new version of the iPhone OS. The reason the OS wasn’t released? It gives clues as to what will appear in the new iPhone.
When the iPhone OS announcement is made we’ll find out that the fourth generation hardware will include a front facing camera and that those same cameras will ship in the iPad, as will the new iPhone software.

I hope so! A video-enabled version of iChat in OS 4.0 and for the iPhone & iPad would be an excellent feature!
I think that this would be great but I also think that there is a good chance that it is not a camera because all of the iPads that people were aloud to look at after the event did not have a camera because someone would have spotted it and with the original iphone people were saying that it would have a front facing camera and it did not and so I think it would be amazing if there is one but I think it is just a smudge.
It is not a question of “if” it is “when” :c)
Is it not the light measure? Would be nice though!
