Intempo InConcert

The market for iPod docks is pretty darn huge, and when it comes to shelling out you always want to be sure you’re getting the best value for money in terms of what a product has to offer. This offering from Intempo will definitely tick a lot of boxes for a lot of people. First of all it’s extremely compact and very well designed. It has a sleek black exterior and a cool curved back. The dock sits on the middle of the system and the speaker grills line the sides and underneath. It has easy to use and reach buttons on the front and a nicely sized remote control that gives you full control of your iPod. All looking pretty good so far. Then there’s the sound. We have to admit we were expecting to hear some tinny, topped-out tunes, but were very pleased to hear warm, full-bodied audio bursting from the speakers. The InConcert uses very impressive 35- watt speakers and a dedicated subwoofer to really fill a room, and we would confidently place this dock in our lounge to be used as the main stereo. A word of warning to iPhone users though: this dock is not certified as ‘Made For iPhone’, so you have to enter Aeroplane mode to avoid those annoying buzzes and beeps you get from non-protected speakers. The InConcert is a really good all-round effort from Intempo that will dominate in terms of sound.
