Cheaper Retina MacBook Pros now in Apple’s refurb store

by Freddie Harrison

Retina display MacBook Pros are now appearing in Apple’s refurb store with discounts of up to 15%. Head over and grab yourself a slice of the action…

Retina MacBook Pro - Refurb - Main

One of the best kept secrets of Apple’s online store is its refurbished section – offering some pretty attractive discounts on products that are as good as new. It’s not heavily advertised and stock changes often, so you won’t always find what you want, but the savings certainly justify the wait if you’re after something specific.

After a good few months on sale, 15″ Retina display MacBook Pros have now made their way on to both the US and UK stores and TUAW is now reporting that the 13″ model is available, too. They’re still incredibly pricey, but the discounts, which go up to 15%, certainly do go some way to soften the blow.

In the UK, we found a 15″ MacBook Pro with Retina Display with 2.3GHz processor and 256GB solid-state storage for £1,529. For comparison, a brand new model with the same specs would cost £1,799.

Any UK customers looking for a 13″ model may have to wait a little longer, though. We haven’t seen any of these yet, but with stock changing all the time, we’re sure the wait won’t be too long.
