The new iPad Air will go on sale in a number of countries on 1st November.

Specs – Redesigned casing, A7 chip, upgraded cameras

Most notably, the iPad Air has a completely redesigned casing, giving it a look and feel more akin to that of the iPad mini. Bezels around the edges of the display are far smaller and the result is a device that’s far thinner and lighter. The iPad Air weighs in at just 1.4 pounds (compared to the iPad 4′s 1.4 pounds) and measures 7.5mm thick (an 9.4mm improvement on the previous model).

Internally, many of the specs have remained the same, save for a new processor. Apple have added a new A7 chip, sporting a 64-bit architecture, to drive the iPad Air.

There’s also a new range of Smart Covers designed for the device for $39 and Smart Cases for $69.
