Fortunately, there’s a save feature available which you have to use at least every five minutes to ensure you’re not wasting your time, but you’re still left feeling on edge as you progress, waiting for the inevitable black screen that appears during a crash.
There I am making some great progress with another Sim, we’re talking, laughing, some gentle flirting, all is going to plan and then – BOOM!
I can’t handle the games I buy mimicking my actual life so I beg of you, EA – please sort it out!

EA has also posted some things to try in order to avoid crashes:
- Make sure you have a preferred language set for your device under ‘Settings -> General -> International -> Language.’
- Temporarily turn on airplane mode
- Turn MobileMe sync off temporarily.
- Temporarily disable email sync. -
- Remove any unnecessary apps.
If you are still having trouble, you may need to remove the game from your device, then re-download and re-install the game:
- Delete the game from your iPhone/iPod
- Enter the iTunes store and re-download the game (it may prompt you to purchase the game, but after pressing OK, it should verify that the download is free).
- After downloading/installing the game, try to play it. If it does not work at first, you may need to reboot your device.
