1. Angry Birds

A firm favourite in the the office, Angry Birds is an addictive game that’s perfect for killing some time on the bus, waiting in line or during your coffee break. Fire a selection of different birds at thieving green pigs who have stolen your eggs.

2. Buzzie

For those who have taken to Google’s new social networking service, this app not only helps you manage your followers and keep up with their “buzzes” but also finds those buzzing nearby.

3. Last Front: Europe

A bit like Field Runners but with a historical bent. Build up your forces and defend major strategic landscapes from WWII. Two game modes are available as you unlock more levels and even more goodies are available for download online.

4. WhatsApp Messenger

If someone said you could pay 59p to never pay MMS or SMS messages again, would you take it? With WhatsApp, you can. Invite all your friends to join the service and send free images, text and sounds to each other with push notifications.

5. Rayman 2: The Great Escape

Remember when Rayman became 3D for the first time on the Dreamcast? Neither do we, but it was apparently quite a turning point. This brilliant, colourful 3D platformer sees the armless Rayman bounce around 42 environments collecting powerups and defeating enemies. Think Sonic The Hedgehog Vs Super Mario on acid.
