We can’t believe that its taken this long for us to hear a rumour about this! So, here it is via TUAW
The UK iPad pricing is rumoured to be:
- The 16GB Wi-Fi will be £389
- The 32GB Wi-Fi model will be £439
- The 64GB Wi-Fi model will be £489
There’s nothing really incredible here, we kind of thought the pricing would be in this kind of range. The most interesting details are still to come (provided this is actually true). Will the iPad be available on more than one carrier and if so will it have a subsidy?
We’ll let you know the second we hear anything!
* A quick currency conversion does let us know that, as usual, the UK suffers: £389 is approximately $594.89 – the same version in the states sells for $499. No fair.

Don’t forget that the UK prices most likely include VAT whereas the US ones don’t include sales tax since it differs from state to state
On Google Shopping results, Play.com are already advertising the iPad 16GB Wi-Fi for £499.
Hmmm, Play.com have now removed those prices and left us with an e-mail notification system. Nothing showing up on Amazon just yet.
At the rumoured prices it’s a bit of no-brainer for me. But if it turned out to be £499 for the 16GB then I’d think more than twice – not just on the basis of cost, but because that would be a ridiculously unfair exchange rate.
